New Curriculum New Perceptions New Method

摘要:随着社会和经济全球化的快速发展,英语在国家交往中占有非常重要的地位。本文探讨了新理念下如何实施英语教学。

        as the time moves forward, there is a higher claim to the people’s english standard from the society, and to be able to communicate in english fluently has become the aim of learning english. how to raise the student’s interest in classroom teaching and how to improve it in order to cultivate the student’s ability in thinking and making innovations and to promote their ability to communicate in english will be vital issue to be solved. this paper will, from the aspect of classroom teaching, discuss the ways of how to carry out the teaching strategies in middle school english teaching, by way of illustrating the flexibility of english teaching to the full.
        i. change the teacher’s concepts, and establish a harmonious and equal teacher-student relationship
according to the new curriculum, the process of teaching should be the one containing an inter-        communication and a co-development between the teachers and students. teachers should act as an         organizer, a guider and a participator. the most important task for a teacher is to build a kind of classroom atmosphere with admit, support and tolerance, and to establish a kind of educational environment in which the students are stimulated and inspired to learn in an atmosphere full of equality, respect, trust and tolerance. teachers should change their concept of “no one is noble, but me”, and try to take some suitable measures to ensure the students the sense of security and encouragement. all of these will activate the students in thinking and excite them in studying, which, as a result, will encourage the students to be bold enough to speak english and to learn in an active way.
        ii. improve the classroom teaching,and build up a new-typed mode in it.
        “all for students—for all students—for students all”. this expression has shown the essential features of the quality-oriented education. to give full play to the student and to enable them to be the hosts in the teaching has become an inexorable trend in modern teaching reform. and it has also been an inexorable way in english classroom teaching reform to lead the whole class to the teaching activities and to make sure that everyone can get equal opportunity to develop their potentials, in order to make achievement in their study. professor liu running, a famous english educator, once points out: “english can’t be taught, it must be learned”. based on this concept, a new–typed mode of classroom teaching has been built up, that is: teachers, according to the requirements in the new curriculum standard (ncs), should be familiar with the teaching material, make a plan for teaching, arrange the contents of the courses, and design the teaching activities; teachers should try to make the content more authentic to attract the students in order to ensure that the communicative activities can move smoothly; teachers should arrange a multi-communication between the teacher and the students, help the students to speak english by themselves, in order to promote their level in oral expression and by which, turn the classroom into a place where the students can get trained in their listening, speaking, reading and writing, and get cultivated in their awareness of autonomous learning; teachers should, according to different lessons, apply appropriate means of teaching to encourage the students to use english in communication in an active and initiate way.
        to improve the classroom teaching, we should abide by the five principles as follows:
        1. student-centered
        the teacher should be a cooperator, a leader and a participator in the students’ learning process. in the course of teaching, we should always stress the important position of the students, by building up a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere among which the students’ individual differences are respected.
        2. interest-focused
        the teacher should, according to the students’ age and psychological characteristics, create a rightful scene of communication, in order to excite the student’s interest in studying.
        3. communication—oriented
        the central point of english teaching is communication, and the modern english teaching need to exploit english teaching resources, for the purpose of widening the student’s ways of studying and enabling the students to apply what they have learned in real life.
        4. task-based
        the ncs advocates a “task-based” teaching approach, and the so-called “task” means the process of “doing things” in which the students talk with others in english, develop the ability to solve the real problem in english.
        5. real-life-related
        english teaching need to lay stress on the practicality of language, and topics such as “family, interest, hobbies, weather, clothes” which are closely related to life should be given more practice.
        iii. cultivate student’s interests and develop their potential of “i can learn english well”
        interest is the motivate force of studying. einstein said, "to stimulate the enthusiasm of students put up, then the school homework will be provided as a gift to accept." well, how to train students interested in studying it?
        1.use the “pre-class free talk” to help students practice their courage, and enhance self-confidence.
as we all know, most of young boys and girls are all eager to do well in everything. they like to show their ability in front of their companion, to improve their prestige among the companion, and pre-class free talk just give them an opportunity to show off to meet their performance aspirations. pre-class free talk, using the rotating form to everyone's participation, content by itself, a variety of forms not only monologues, but also be free to ask and answer, these activities are optional subjects students, self-performing, it is fit the tastes of students, arouse sympathy  companion to stimulate their interest. and students are well prepared, thought-out plan, self-confidence and courage to be effectively enhanced. free talk this pre-class participation of all people, freedom of speech means not only inspired students to learn, and cultivate the students listening and speaking ability.
        2.through games, contests, so that students in a relaxed pleasure in the spoken language to master.
playing is the nature of children, teachers can be combined with the actual materials organize games in order to stimulate interest in students, the activation classroom exercises, so that classroom full of vitality, so relaxed and happy at students in acquiring knowledge.
        for example: in the study of the "fruits", i designed a game: to prepare well in advance of fruit one by one hidden in a box, and then ask students "what's this in the box? is this an apple in the box? are there any bananas in the box? those who can guess right will then get the fruit. this is under the enthusiasm of the students can be high, and have a show of hands answer, guess on how the student indescribably happy, not only material reward, but also received applause to congratulate the students. student can be when there is a guess on the apple box, i do not give him the prize, but to ask him "is it a apple?”---- no, it is an apple. even though the students sit down with deep regret, but with him on a usage of a must be fresh.

        3. the creation of contexts so that students feel at immersive in english. language is inseparable from the scene, only in the social scene; the language has the vitality, in order to achieve its communicative value. we should put life scenarios students moved to the classroom to real life infection students enrich the teaching contents, so that students in the scenarios boldly speak english, so as to nurture their ability to use english.  for example: teaching at "go shopping", i allow students to put classroom arrangement into a street, the table filled with all kinds of things, there is stationery, there is fruit, there is clothing, have umbrellas and so on, so a lively bazaar at the students before the show. introduction merchandise boss busy, busy customers to select merchandise, “ can i help you?/ how much is it?/oh,it’s too expensive./i’ll take it. /here is the money...” ups and downs with each other and it buzz. when the people scattered, “how to go shopping?” have been mastered by the students.
        v. cooperation and exchanges, and independent inquiry, and promote students thinking and communicative competence in english of the form
        the basic forms of teaching and learning activities are contacts and explore. exchanges are the basic form of activity, interaction is an interaction between the concrete manifestation of this interaction in classroom teaching for teachers and students, between students and student dialogue, to explore new curriculum activity are initiated by studying the way that teachers do not directly put tell students ready-made conclusions, but the students themselves under the guidance of teachers at their own problems are detected, we explore the question of the process of conclusion. classroom teaching to the main line activity, encouraging students too actively participate in and take the initiative to practice, take the initiative to explore and take the initiative to create, teachers should guide students to explore at their own, cooperation and exchanges, the promotion of students thinking and communicative competence in english formation.
        in these full classroom interactions, students create an atmosphere of participation in the teaching process, students can take the initiative to consider, to express their views, in not only classroom learning atmosphere relaxed and happy, but also the cognitive abilities of students brought into full play, through the interaction between the students, reaching "everyone taught me, i teach everyone" the most adequate resources for the purpose of integration.
        vi. using “apple” theory to set up a reasonable evaluation mechanisms
        well-known american “apple” theory gives us a great english language teaching in revelation. the so-called "apple" theory is to give students at different levels with different goals and mission, and these goals and tasks are all students at a certain amount of effort will be able to realize and achieve, therefore, not only to alleviate the psychological pressure to summon the students to speak english courage, students can meet the desire for knowledge. if used in classroom teaching "across the board" means, on the bad of health is always unable to achieve the objectives of frustration, thus losing confidence and interest, while eugenics is concerned we feel that it is too easy, thereby creating the mood of complacency, the enthusiasm of inhibition study.
        a germany educator said: "teaching is not teaching the art of adaptation, but rather incentive to arouse, and inspire." teacher evaluation mechanisms set up a reasonable, clever use of incentives, development, participatory evaluation methods, so that the success of each student are the psychological experience, to enable them to overcome their inferiority and shyness, improve confidence in learning english and interest. in classroom teaching requirements of everyone's participation, strengthen communication, interactive and communicate in the classroom, the less criticism, more praise and less blame, many were encouraged to work hard to find students doing the right places, often "very good" "great" "excellent "" well done "" try harder "and so to encourage them to participate actively in the classroom of students with outstanding performance of" english-speaking activists, "" speech activists "" best performance award ", etc., to confirm their performance, and fully arouse their sense of pride in speaking english .
        at new ideas under the guidance requires that we english teachers should pay attention to teaching methods and strategies, according to the different materials, the creation of different contexts, and enhance social awareness to a variety of teaching methods to stimulate students interest in learning english, to encourage they boldly speak english, students cultivate the habit of thinking in english, students thought the ability to promote the formation and development, improve their practical english.

abstract: with the fast development of the society and the globalization of economy, english has taken an important position in international communication. this paper will discuss how to implement english teaching under new perceptions.
