　美国人心中都有一种超级英雄情结。他们崇尚孤胆英雄以一己之力拯救人类、拯救世界。因此，超级英雄题材的漫画及影视作品几乎从未衰败。而超级英雄的火热也早已越过美国本土，向世界蔓延。这对于渴求学习英语同时也有英雄情结的我们来说可谓幸事。现在，就让笔者带领大家一起跟随超级英雄们学习英语、学做英雄吧！

 　　【注解】这是《蜘蛛侠1》中最著名的一句话。每个英雄的成长都要付出代价，而蜘蛛侠付出的代价是惨重的。最初，peter parker在拥有超能力后并没有想要用它们来做什么大事。有一次他对一个抢劫犯视而不见，但接着却亲眼目睹这个抢劫犯射杀了他的叔叔ben。peter懊悔不已，后来渐渐明白了自己身上背负的重任。而叔叔ben在世时常对他说的这句话一直激励着他前进。

　　【注解】《蜘蛛侠2》里，婶婶may对peter说的这段话道出了我们所有人的心声。人人都爱英雄，人人都有英雄的一面。这个世界需要能力不凡的英雄，同时也需要那些在心中坚持着善良、正义、勇气以及奉献精神的普通人。因此，即使普通如你我，也同样可以做个英雄，行英雄事。

　　lord knows可不是“天知道”的意思哦。这个短语表达的是一种毋庸置疑的肯定，意思是“truly， certainly， definitely”。例如：lord knows i need a winter

 　　【注解】bruce在世人面前是典型的上流社会的花花公子，而在人后却化身蝙蝠侠惩奸除恶，救市民于水火。在他心中虽然也埋藏着复仇的火焰，但更有一份侠义英雄的担当和责任。所谓“英雄不问出处”，bruce并不在意别人对他是感恩还是恐惧，而是一直坚守自己的道德原则，做自己认为正确的事。我们在现实生活中虽然不会蒙面示人，但也和蝙蝠侠一样，比起呈现在世人面前的表象，只有自身的所作所为才能真正定义自己是什么样的人——是善还是恶，是勇敢还是懦弱，是勤奋还是懒惰，是坚守道德还是放任堕落。

　　pick up有很多含义，在高考中较常见到。该短语在这里指“（跌倒或失败后）使（自己）爬起”。此外，它还有“重新恢复（健康或勇气等）”“（情况等）好转”“（尤指偶然地）获得（或学会等）”“听到；看到”“载人上车”等意思。例如：① it will pick up sooner or later. （情况迟早会好起来的。） ② did you pick my wink up？ （你看到我眨眼示意了吗？） ③ i'll pick you up at your house. （我会去你家接你。）

瘦弱而被拒绝。然而，他后来却获得了参加美国军方秘密试验“重生（rebirth）”计划的机会。人人都想不明白为何计划的负责人dr. abraham erskine要选这样一个瘦弱的人。steven对此也很好奇，便问dr. abraham erskine缘由。以上就是dr. abraham erskine给出的部分答案。他想选择的人并不需要有多强大的力量，但要心怀怜悯和正义，而steven正是这样的人。在steven接受血清注射的前一天，dr. abraham erskine对他说：“whatever happens tomorrow， you must promise me one thing. that you will stay who you are. not a perfect soldier， but a good man.” steven也因此明白，其实他并不弱小，因为他拥有许多比他强大的人都没有的可贵品质。
 　　我们喜欢超级英雄，艳羡他们超乎常人的强大力量，但真正吸引我们的其实是他们身上的宝贵品质。不管是在战争年间还是在和平年代，我们似乎都需要这样的英雄、这样的榜样来告诉我们，这个世界上仍旧存在正义，所以永远不要放弃坚持美好的品质。
